[Warded to Auror Department]

I've peeled Dawlish off to assist at the Ministry; he'll be reporting to Squad 4. Search of Avery's flat still in progress, with Watkins and I continuing to catalogue here until further notice. Recommendation that surveillance be put in place past our departure proposed and volunteered for.

Look lively.

Attempts at quitting smoking hit a bit of a snag this weekend, but nothing serious, I'm back on the wagon as of this second. Cross my heart, &tc.

This is also a note to say I'll be out of the office for the better part of the day (in an official capacity), so please send owls to Robards proper, not Robards' desk. Appreciated.

[Warded to Calypso Bones]

As much as I hate to ruin a good surprise, I hate the disharmony created by a mismatched wine even more. Might I inquire as to what you plan to have for our dinner tomorrow night so that I know what bottle to best complement it with? You know how important unity is to us at the Ministry.

[Warded to Aurors & Auror Trainees]

Because I believe in full disclosure (and being full aware of how heinous my timing is) consider this fair warning that I, once again, am quitting smoking. If you catch me with a cigarette, you hereby have full permission to slap it out of my grasp. Be gentle though, I'm all sorts of delicate (and so many of you have such brutish mitts).

And be wary of the gadflies from The Prophet, particularly that Dobbs fellow and the Skeeter woman. I've seen too many quotes twisted to lend them much credence now, so fair warning to the younger set amongst us; they are piranhas, they are rabid dogs, they are wasps whose nest has just been given a swift, and likely well-deserved, kick. For further analogies or counsel on this subject, do not hesitate to consult me.
